How does it know when prices drop?
Each time you visit a product page (or revisit one you've tracked), Price Drop logs the current price. When you revisit a tracked product and the new price is at least 5% lower than the 7-day average, you get a Chrome notification. Premium users also get push notifications even without revisiting.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. All tracked items + price history live in your browser only. We have no servers that see your shopping. Full privacy policy.
Why the 5-product free limit?
We have to charge for something. Free is genuinely useful for serious purchases (laptops, phones, appliances). Premium opens it up for everyday shopping.
What about deal sites like Honey or Pricegrabber?
Those track prices on their own servers and often inject affiliate links into your purchases. Price Drop runs locally, no affiliate revenue, no tracking. You're the customer, not the product.
