Price Drop — Privacy Policy
1. Who runs this
Price Drop is a Chrome extension by toolvein. Contact: hello@toolvein.com. Full imprint.
2. What data Price Drop processes
Price Drop runs entirely in your browser. It does not transmit any data to us or third parties.
Locally stored on your device (chrome.storage.local)
- Tracked products — product URLs, names, images, prices you've chosen to track
- Price history — timestamped price points for each tracked product (90 days max)
- Tier — Free / Premium / Max
- Notification preference — whether drop alerts are enabled
This data lives on your computer. Wipe it by removing the extension.
What we do NOT collect
- No analytics, telemetry, or browsing patterns sent to us
- No accounts — there's nothing to sign up for
- No tracking cookies on this website
- No information about which shops you visit beyond what you explicitly track
- No IP addresses logged by us
3. Shopping site integration
Price Drop injects an overlay on Amazon, eBay, Zalando, MediaMarkt/Saturn, and Otto product pages. Our content scripts:
- Read the product title, image URL, and price from the page
- Render the overlay UI
- Save the price to your local storage when you click "Track this price"
- Do NOT read your purchase history, account details, or anything else on the page
4. Payments
Premium (€4.99) and Max (€14.99) are processed via ExtensionPay (Stripe-based). We never see your card. We receive an anonymous ID confirming your tier.
5. This website
Hosted by Cloudflare Pages. Standard request logs for abuse prevention only. No analytics, no cookies set by us.
6. Your rights (GDPR)
We hold no personal data about you. Email hello@toolvein.com with any concerns.
7. Children
Not directed at children under 13.
8. Changes
We update the "Last updated" date above when this policy changes.
